JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – President Joko Widodo dissolved 10 non-structural institutions. This decision is stipulated in Presidential Regulation Number 112 of 2020.
The Presidential Regulations were signed by Jokowi on November 26, 2020 and promulgated by the Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Yasonna Laoly. Based on the Perpres considerations, the dissolution of 10 institutions aims to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the government administration.
“That in order to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of government affairs and achieve the strategic plan for national development, it is necessary to dissolve 10 non-structural institutions,” was quoted in Presidential Decree No. 112/2020, Sunday (11/29) 2020).

Furthermore, the implementation of the duties and functions of the ten institutions is transferred to the relevant ministries / agencies. The transfer was also made in relation to the financing, employees, assets and records of 10 institutions.
The transfer is coordinated by the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform with the participation of elements from the Ministry of Finance, the State Agency for Public Administration, the Agency for Financial Supervision and Development, the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia and / or related ministries / agencies.
This transfer process is completed no later than 1 year from the enactment of Perpes Number 112 of 2020. The financing for the implementation of the transfer process is provided by the State Income and Expenditure Budget.

The following 10 non-structural institutions were dissolved:
- The National Investigations Council that was formed based on Presidential Decree Number 16 of 2005
- Food Safety Council that was formed based on Presidential Decree Number 83 of 2006
- The Surabaya-Madura Regional Development Agency, which was formed based on Presidential Decree No. 27/2008 modified by Presidential Decree No. 23/2009
- The National Body for Accreditation and Standardization of Sports that was established by Presidential Decree No. 11/2014
- The Indonesian Hajj Oversight Commission, which was formed based on Presidential Decree No. 50 of 2014
- The National Committee of Economy and Industry that was formed based on Presidential Decree No. 8 of 2016
- Telecommunications Advisory Board established based on Presidential Decree Number 55 of 1989, modified several times, most recently by Keppres Number 1 of 1996
- The National Commission for the Elderly that was formed based on Presidential Decree Number 52 of 2004
- The Indonesian Professional Sports Agency which was formed on the basis of the Regulation of the Minister of Youth and Sports Number 9 of 2015
- The Indonesian Telecommunications Regulatory Body which was formed on the basis of the Regulation of the Minister of Information and Communications Technology Number 15 of 2018.
