The former mayor of Solo is ranked 12th on the website’s list of the 50 most influential figures in the world.
Jokowi’s ranking surpassed two other influential Muslim figures from Indonesia.
Namely, the chairman of the executive board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU), Said Aqil Siroj, and the Muslim scholar Habib Luthfi bin Yahya.
Referring to this site, Said Aqil is ranked 18th among the 50 most influential figures in the world. Meanwhile, Habib Lutfi is only ranked 32nd.
