jpnn.com, SURABAYA – Community elements from 31 sub-districts in the city of Surabaya make up the Jogoboyo Community.

They stated that they were willing to help Surabaya’s mayor, Tri Rismaharini, in an effort to protect the capital city of the East Java province from acts of anarchism.

“We (the Jogoboyo Community, red) do not want this city to be damaged again, we do not want the mayor to be revived, that’s why we got up and formed this community to help Bu Risma together to protect Surabaya from anarchism,” he said. Jogoboyo Community Coordinator, Kusnan, upon meeting. Mayor of Risma at his official residence, Friday (10/16).

Kusnan said that the Jogoboyo community consists of various elements of society spread across 31 sub-districts of the city of Surabaya.

This community was formed because the Suroboyo Areknies were discouraged because they saw the mayor of Risma at night go directly to the streets to clean up the garbage and other items damaged by the massive anarchist demonstrations of some time ago.

“So, the hearts of these people from Suroboyo were crying, they couldn’t bear to see Ms. Risma until late at night cleaning up the garbage of anarchist actions, which turned out to be that they were not Suroboyo areknies, but came from out of town, “Kusnan said.

He also emphasized that he did not ban the demonstrations in the city of Surabaya because that was the right of citizens protected by law.

However, he continued, if the demonstration was anarchist and damaged public facilities in Surabaya, then Surabaya residents who are members of this community are ready to intercept.
