Joan Mir remains firmly at the top of the rider standings after MotoGP Teruel. He moves away from his closest competitor, Fabio Quartararo.

At the Aragon MotorLand Circuit on Sunday (10/25), Mir only finished third with a record time of 41 minutes 53.028 seconds. However, with 16 points, he adds up to 137 points.

The Suzuki Ecstar rider widened the gap with Quartararo, who finished eighth. With ‘only’ getting 8 points, Quartararo has now only accumulated 123 points. The gap between the two runners is now 14 points, up from 6 points.

Behind the two is Maverick Vinales, who still has hopes of becoming a world champion for the first time. Finishing in seventh position, the runner with the nickname of Top Gun has 118 points from the 11 races that have been contested.

The fourth position is occupied by the MotoGP winner, Teruel, Franco Morbidelli. He proved his words, which indicated that he still had a chance to become a world champion. 25 additional points from Alcañiz made him accumulate 112 points.

Andrea Dovizioso, who only finished 13th, only added three points in this race, sending himself to fifth place with 109 points. For his part, Alex Rins, who managed to become MotoGP runner-up for Teruel, was in sixth position with 105 points.
