PR BEKASI – Former Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) shared his views on the recent issue involving the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI), Imam Habib Rizieq Shihab.
Jusuf Kalla assessed that this situation occurred because there was a leadership vacuum. For this problem to have caught the attention of public opinion and even the police and TNI have to be involved.
“Why is Habib Rizieq’s problem so big that the police, the army have intervened, as if we are facing shocks?” Jusuf Kalla said while speaking at the national webinar on Youtube PKS TV, Friday, November 20, 2020 .

“Why did that happen? In my opinion, this is because there is a leadership vacancy. Leadership that can absorb the aspirations of the wider community,” said Jusuf Kalla.
As a result, according to him, people are looking for other alternatives that are seen as representing their aspirations.
“Once there is a charismatic leader, say so or someone dares to offer an alternative, people support him,” said Jusuf Kalla.
