The family of the twelfth vice president of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla (JK) called on the people of Makassar to remain calm and not to take to the streets to reject the slander against JK after being accused by Danny Pomanto. The JK family does not want crowds to gather to prevent the transmission of the Corona virus (COVID-19).

“We, on behalf of our family, would like to thank the public for the support and prayers of our parents, but without diminishing our respect, we ask the entire community not to take any action that leads to an uncontrolled mass gathering. Still We are in an atmosphere of a COVID-19 pandemic and we must obey and follow the COVID-19 protocol because all our health comes first, “said JK’s son Solihin Kalla in his official statement to detikcom, Saturday (12/5/2020).

Solihin admitted that he issued this award due to the circulation of an open invitation to participate in the Action Against the alleged defamation of Jusuf Kalla on Sunday (06/12) morning. Solihin, representing JK’s extended family, urged the people of Makassar not to participate in demonstrations and to take to the streets.

Additionally, Solihin revealed that there are still other ways that can be done for the slander against Jusuf Kalla to be resolved.

“I myself have reported it to the police, asking for prayers and support from all the people of Makassar so that this case can be resolved immediately,” he concluded.

Previously, the recorded video contained the voice of Danny Pomanto calling Jusuf Kalla as the actor behind KPK’s arrest of Eddy Prabowo. Danny said JK wanted to take on Jokowi and Prabowo for the interests of the 2024 presidential election.

This circulating video lasts 1 minute 58 seconds, Saturday (5/12/2020), showing Danny Pomanto’s face and then moving on to a conversation discussing the arrest of Edy Prabowo and the figures who benefited from this arrest.
