But who would have thought, North Korea fought alongside a coalition of Arab countries against Israel in the 1973 Yom Kippur war.

At the time, North Korea “loaned” its fighter pilots up to 20 staff members to the Arab Coalition to use to fight Israeli warplanes.
The pilots sent by North Korea are highly trained to man the MiG-21 and have bagged 2,000 flight hours.
This is the testimony of two Israeli fighter jet pilots involved in aerial combat (visual warfare between short-range aircraft) with North Korean fighter jet pilots in 1973.
