KOMPAS.com – The ITE Act defendant in the “IDI Kacung WHO” case, I Gede Ari Astina aka Jerinx expects to receive a suspended sentence or house arrest if he is later convicted.

He also promised not to do the same and to use social media more intelligently.

“I also promise not to repeat the same act, I will not make a fuss with the parties that feel harassed by me. I also promise to be wiser in the use of social media,” Jerinx said while reading his statement in PN Denpasar on Tuesday ( 11/10/2020).

Jerinx also explained a reason leave at the premiere.

Jerinx denied it because according to him there were many academics and doctors who supported and helped him.

“By the fact, not a few doctors and academics agree with my opinion and what I do. One of them is here, Dr. Tirta,” said Jerinx.

Jerinx, previously reported, was sentenced to three years in prison in the “IDI Kacung WHO” case.

The Public Ministry considers that Jerinx is found guilty of the commission of a crime as stipulated in article 28 paragraph 2 and article 45 paragraph 1 of Law No. 19 of 2016 on Electronic Transaction Information (ITE) in conjunction with the Article 64 subsection 1 of the Penal Code.
