KOMPAs.com – Due to his online gambling debt of Rp.766 million, Jefri Wijaya alias Asion (39), a Sunggal resident, was kidnapped and tortured to death.
Jefri’s body, which was dumped in a ravine in Jalan Medan-Brastagi, Tanah Karo Regency, was found by residents on Friday (9/18/2020) morning.
There are six civilians involved in the murder. There is a strong suspicion that the case involved an unscrupulous official.

This case began with a debt of a person named Dani to suspect that Edy Siswanto amounts to 677 million rupees. The debt comes from online games.
At that time, Jefri’s victim gave guarantees to pay off the debt.
As time went by, it turned out that Jefri had never paid off the debt. Edy then asked the suspect Hendi to find Jefri.

Hendi, with the help of other suspects, also looked for a way out to find Jefri. At that time, Hendi promised 15 million rupees so that the other suspects would be willing to help him.
They then lured Jefri with a car buying and selling transaction because previously on social media, the victim was planning to sell his car.
One of the suspects managed to get Jefri out for a transaction. The first transaction failed because the location was full.

On Monday (9/14/2020), the victim Jefri contacted one of the suspects and asked him to meet him at one of the locations for car buying and selling transactions.
