Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
PT Jasa Marga (Persero) admitted that he did not know of the confrontation between the police and REIT on the Jakarta Cikampek Turnpike, West Java, on Monday morning (7/12) WIB.
The clashes between the police and supporters of the FPI High Priest, Rizieq Shihab, on the Jakarta Cikampek toll road, KM50, or near the East Karawang toll gate, occurred around 12.30 WIB this morning.
“We say that we have no information about the incident and to clarify this matter, we invite you to contact the police,” said the head of the Jasa Marga Group for Corporate Communication and Community Development, Dwimawan Heru, when it was confirmed on Monday (12 / 7).
The confrontation was known to have killed six of Rizieq’s supporters. Meanwhile, the other four are said to have fled after the confrontation.
From the confrontation between the police and the FPI, law enforcement officers seized various evidence in the incident, including firearms, sickles, samurai and bullets.
Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said that during the incident, the Rizieq crowd fired three shots.
“There are already three [peluru] that they were fired, “Fadil told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya on Monday (12/7) afternoon.
Furthermore, Fadil said, the results of the initial investigation revealed that the masses involved were special troops.
“From the initial investigation, the group that attacked the members was identified as a special laskar,” he said.
On another occasion, FPI General Secretary Munarman denied allegations made by the police against members of his party. He even called all of this slander.
The slander was related to the police statement that the FPI attacked the security forces first. Police also said that the FPI members in the confrontation were carrying several sharp weapons.
“Slander, this is extraordinary slander that the military attacked first,” Munarman told a news conference in the Petamburan area of central Jakarta on Monday afternoon.
Munarman also mentioned slander regarding the possession of firearms.
“If it’s true, check the registration number. It’s definitely not ours. Because we don’t have access to firearms and it is impossible to buy illegal weapons,” Munarman said.
The confrontation between the police and the FPI took place on the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road, on Monday (12/7) around 00.30 WIB. Police claim they were attacked by Rizieq supporters in the incident.
