Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The number of additional cases in DKI Jakarta remains high despite the implementation of Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, there were 1,259 additional cases in DKI Jakarta on Saturday (10/10/20).

In addition, 1,282 people were declared cured and 16 people died in DKI Jakarta. Compared to other regions, the difference in the sum of cases is also very large.

Central Java had the second highest number of cases, with an additional 410 people. Then cases in East Java increased by 310, West Java by 268, and West Sumatra by 245.

Altogether, as of today, the number of positive Covid-19 cases in DKI Jakarta is 85,574. Of that number, 70,392 people were declared cured and 1,871 people died.

DKI Jakarta itself still applies a stricter PSBB until October 11, 2020. The PSBB was initially applied for two weeks from September 14 to 27.

At that time, as of September 14 there were 12,161 cases of Covid-19. In that period, although the rebound in cases was still taking place, until September 27, 2020, the number of exposed cases was 13,265 people.

Seeing the increase in transmission cases, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan decided to extend the implementation of the PSBB, which again tightened.

Fearing that daily COVID-19 cases will rise if the PSBB is relaxed, the PSBB will be toughened up and come into effect from September 28 to October 11, 2020.

According to the DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 88 of 2020, activities in the office are limited to a maximum of 25%. In the meantime, if there is an employee who is known to be exposed to Covid-19, office activities must be stopped for three days. Restaurants are also prohibited from eating on site and can only be taken home or to go.

With a range between September 28 and 30, gradually the number of positive patients decreased. On September 28, the number of positive cases was 12,732, then fell again to 12,726 on September 29. And it continues to drop to 12,317 on September 30, 2020.

However, from October 1 to 9, 2020, the number of transmission cases of Covid-19 has increased again. The highest peak occurred on October 4, 2020, which again recorded covid transmission at 13,000 or 13,134 to be precise.

In addition, as of October 9, the number of cases of active covid-19 transmission in Jakarta has reached 13,301 people, with a total of 69,203 people recovered and 1,860 people dead.

The DKI Jakarta provincial government itself continues to murder PCR tests to find new cases quickly, so that they can immediately take appropriate isolation / treatment measures. Thus, minimizing the potential for transmission of COVID-19.

The head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office Division of Disease Prevention and Control, Dwi Oktavia, explained that according to the most recent data from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Health Office, 10,581 tests were carried out PCR until October 9, 2020.

“The total rate of PCR tests per 1 million population is 97,680. The number of people subjected to PCR tests in the last week was 63,281,” it said in an official statement quoted by CNBC Indonesia on Saturday (10/10 /twenty).
