President of the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) DKI Jakarta province, Muchsin Alatas explained the content of his meeting with Pangdam Jaya Major General Dudung Abdurrachman on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
Muchsin said the meeting was simply a meeting of FPI DKI Jakarta leaders with Pangdam Jaya.
Muchsin also revealed that Pangdam Jaya invited FPI to jointly stop the billboards with the image of the FPI Grand Imam Rizieq Shihab scattered throughout Jakarta. Seeing the invitation, Muchsin admitted that he was ready to help Pangdam Jaya stop the billboards.
“Yes, we of the FPI are ready to help work together, as Pangdam Jaya wants to stop the billboards of Habib Rizieq in Jakarta,” Muchsin said. CNNIndonesia.com, Thursday (11/26).
However, Muchsin provided the condition that not only billboards with Rizieq’s image be removed. However, all non-compliant billboards throughout Jakarta were removed. Its goal is to provide a sense of justice for all.
Furthermore, Muchsin emphasized that the billboards with Rizieq’s image were not installed by the FPI. The public and Rizieq Shihab supporters, he claimed, voluntarily hung up billboards and banners.
Seeing this, Muchsin promised to coordinate with the provincial government of DKI Jakarta through Satpol PP. This is because Satpol PP has full authority to take action against these billboards.
“The [Pangdam] ask me for help. Yes, I will help communicate with the local government later. Because this is the authority of DKI Jakarta province. FPI is also ready to help with removal. Muchsin still had no plans to do so, Muchsin regretted that the Pangdam Jaya had instructed its officials to stop the billboards on Friday (11/20) or two days after the meeting.

Muchsin admitted that he did not know what Dudung’s goal was to immediately instruct the soldiers of the Jaya Regional Military Command to self-check on billboards. In fact, as far as he knows, the authority to control the billboards has been in the Satpol PP.

The important thing is that the FPI always opens the door to dialogue. Muchsin explained that so far the relationship between FPI and Jakarta Satpol PP has gone well. He said that until now, Satpol PP has always contacted FPI if they wanted to stop the billboards. FPI, he said, always helps and is open to all the decisions of Satpol PP.
“Until now, if the Satpol wants to be removed, nothing has ever prevented it. If it has been removed, it continues to be installed again, it must be removed again, firmly. That’s right. After a while the money that puts the billboards also it’s gone, where’s the money, “Muchsin said. .
Separately, FPI Wasekum Aziz Yanuar also expressed the same. He stressed that his party could not be alone in stopping the billboards. This is because these billboards were installed by the community independently and not by FPI.
“If FPI lowers the danger sir. Then we will be cursed by the community. We will protest for the community because they are the ones who installed it. Well, it is good that those who come down are Satpol PP, “said Aziz.
Aziz admitted that his party had agreed to help the Satpol PP if they wanted to control the billboards. The FPI, he said, was willing to give an explanation to the public and Rizieq supporters not to put up banners that violated the provisions.
“The FPI is willing to help by coordinating with Satpol PP and with the community. Then we will explain if this Satpol PP has rules, then the public will be informed if it violates the provisions, this is also part of public education, “said Aziz.
Previously, Dudung revealed that his party met with FPI on November 18.
“Yes, we contacted FPI Jakarta President Muhsin Alatas at the Jaya Regional Military Command on the 18th of yesterday, so with the FPI there is no problem,” said Dudung, on Wednesday (11/25). ).
