Jakarta-Bali uses an electric car for just 200,000 rupees

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), Erick Thohir, said that the use of electric cars is much cheaper than conventional cars that depend on fuel oil (BBM).

He explained that from Jakarta to Bali, using a conventional car, the cost of fuel to be spent is 1.1 million rupees, much more expensive than an electric car that only costs hundreds of thousands.

“From Jakarta to Bali, if the cost of fuel for a car reaches 1.1 million rupees, with an electric car it is only 200,000 rupees,” Erick said in his official Instagram post on Sunday (1/3 / 2021).

Therefore, he said, along with technological advancements, Indonesia should be prepared to become a major player in the electric car industry.

“For me, an electric car is one of our efforts to love the earth,” Erick said.
