Timo Werner scored his first goal for Chelsea. Surprisingly, it only took him four minutes to carve this.

Chelsea have a test match ahead of the 2020/2021 English Premier League against Brighton and Hove Albion. This duel between Premier League teams took place at the American Express Stadium, on Saturday (8/29/2020) afternoon WIB.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard immediately selected two new Blues recruits, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech as start. Werner was brought in by Chelsea from RB Leipzig for a transfer value of 47.5 million pounds or around 53 million euros.

Meanwhile, Ziyech arrived at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea struck a deal with Ajax Amsterdam in February. The London Blue team must spend 40 million euros or the equivalent of 593.6 billion rupees to redeem the player from Morocco.

In his first game for Chelsea, Werner put Lampard at the forefront, while Ziyech played on the right.

It took Werner only four minutes to immediately show his sharpness. The Germany player took Matt Ryan out in the 4th minute.

Werner’s first goal for Chelsea is also free from Ziyech’s role. He carefully threw the long pass from the right side to the wild Callum Hudson-Odoi in the penalty area.

Hudson-Odoi then bounced off the ball that Werner was able to complete well. But after that, Chelsea couldn’t score an additional goal.

Brighton was able to equalize in the last minute. Pascal Gross Penalty Goal closed this match with a score of 1-1.

Chelsea will face Brighton again at the same venue in the first week of the 2020/2021 Premier League. This match will take place on September 15.
