It is known that the wife of Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs (KKP) Edhy Prabowo, Iis Rosita Dewi, accompanied her husband on a trip to the United States (USA) before she was arrested by the KPK. The DPR Honorary Court (MKD) said Iis’s action did not violate DPR regulations, but questioned the source of the funds to finance his trip to the United States.
For your information, Iis Rosita Dewi is a member of Commission V of the DPR which is in charge of transportation to public works. Commission V is not associated with KKP, which is the working partner of Commission IV DPR.
“Yes, maybe there is something else why you should decide to go to the United States, right? Not only to accompany your husband, but there are other tasks, other interests that you have to go to the United States. So, check it out, will you go to the United States at the expense of the state or on your own? ” MKD DPR Vice President Trimedya Pandjaitan told reporters on Wednesday (11/25/2020).
According to Trimedya, Iis officially joined Edhy Prabowo’s entourage in the United States. The PDIP politician said once again that it was necessary to know the source of Iis’s travel expenses to the United States.
“Yes, the talk was clear, Ngabalin was also involved, right. He (Iis) officially joined the group, and has a position. All you have to look for is (the travel funding source), if he costs himself no problem, “said Trimedia.
“(If we use state money), we’ll see first. That’s what we have to find out first. But I think Pak Edhy Prabowo is also a high-ranking politician, he knows the signs, of course he doesn’t use state money. And he’s also a politician entrepreneurs too, “he continued.
On the other hand, Trimedya said that Iis’ trip to accompany her husband to the United States did not violate DPR regulations, even though it was made during the DPR session. According to him, DPR members’ trips outside the city and abroad must be known and permission must be obtained from the factions and commissions.
“No, it doesn’t (it violates DPR regulations). What needs to be done is normally the permission of the faction, of course the Gerindra Party faction gives permission, right?”
