Furthermore, Napoleon revealed that Tommy Sumardi had asked Prasetijo to leave the room. As a result, Tommy told Napoleon about the status of Djoko Tjandra’s red notice.
“At that time the defendant explained his intentions and objectives, asking for help to verify the status of the red notice djoko tjandra. So I asked the defendant, who is Djoko Tjandra? Lawyer? No. Family? No. What kind of brother is joko? Napoleon said in the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/24/2020).
Napoleon was then surprised by the figure of Tommy Sumardi. This is because Tommy can invite Prasetijo Utomo, who is the Brigadier General, to meet with Napoleon. At that point, Napoleon continued, Tommy told him about his case so that he could take Prasetijo with him.
“That is also my question. How is it possible that a general person can bring a police brigadier general to meet me, and this brigadier general wants to,” he said.
Napoleon was surprised to hear Tommy’s story. Because Tommy carried the name of the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo. In fact, Napoleon said, Tommy offered to call Kabareskrim at that point.
“Then he told me, the defendant who said, this is not my language, but the defendant’s language to me, telling me how close I was, that I was with the blessing of Kabareskrim Polri. Do you need to call him? I said no,” he said .
Napoleon went on to say that he was a bit unsure of Tommy’s story at the time, because Tommy could bring someone like Brigadier Prasetijo Utomo with him.
“I said that Kabareskrim is my minor, it is not necessary. But I am sure that if a police brigadier General Prasetijo Utomo from Bareskrim comes into my office, it must be true,” Napoleon said.
Even so, Napoleon still had time to be suspicious of Tommy’s actions at the time. A short time later, Napoleon continued, Tommy called someone too. This time, Napoleon said, Tommy called the Indonesian House of Representatives Vice Speaker Azis Syamsuddin. Tommy’s phone was also given to Napoleon.
“The defendant called someone. After connecting, the defendant seemed to want to give me his phone number. I said who did you want to call me? The defendant said bang ajis, ajis who? Azis Syamsuddin. Oh, vice president of the Indonesian People’s Representative Council “Yes. My pamen never met him, so I continued, asalamualaikum, good afternoon Mr. Ajis, how are you? Good,” he said.
During the conversation between Napoleon and Azis Syamnsuddin, he asked for directions about Tommy Sumardi’s arrival at his office.
“Here in front of me is Pak Haji Tommy Sumardi. In order to check the status of the red notice. Please guide and manager sir. Go ahead, Pak Napoleon. Good. Then the phone is closed, I will return it to you. Using the defendant’s cell phone number, “he said. Napoleon while mimicking the conversation.
During the meeting, Napoleon continued, Tommy Sumardi also told a lot about his closeness to Kabareskrim Listiyo Sigit.
“He told me a lot about his closeness to Kabareskrim. Even how he became the coordinator of 6 public kitchens. Then I understood more, but at that time, if I wanted to check the status of the red notice, I didn’t have a solid position. Verification was only can do in human rights the issue of the red notice, “he explained.
