The Indonesian U19 team underwent a test match against Croatia. Garuda Muda surrendered with an overwhelming score of 1-7.
The match of the under-19 national team vs Croatia took place at the SRC Mladost Stadium, Cakovec, on Tuesday (9/8/2020) at WIB night. The game this time was broadcast live on Mola TV and the images of the game can be seen at this link.
Witan Sulaeman et al started the match quite well. In the 10th minute, Indonesia had a golden opportunity thanks to the efforts of Irfan Jauhari.
Starting with Pratama Arhan’s kick ball that was blocked by the Croatian goalkeeper, Irfan received the puked ball into the penalty area that kicked straight into goal. The ball was still flying against the crossbar.

Croatia changed the score to 2-0 in the 31st minute. Arijan Brkovic successfully edged Adi Satryo with a shot from the area, with a pass from Antonio Marin down the left.
Croatia’s third goal came in the 44th minute through the head of Marco Boras. The 18-year-old defender bled the ball that he vomited after a corner that Indonesia’s defense could not hold. Josip Simunic’s team won 3-0.
There are no additional goals until entering the break. The Indonesian under-19 team closed the first half with a 0-3 advantage for Croatia.
Going into the second half, Croatia did not relax their attacks. As a result, the fourth goal was scored by the 2018 World Cup finalist country’s youth team in the 47th minute.
Antonio Marín who wrote his name on the scoreboard. The Dinamo Zagreb player fired a shot from inside the penalty area that burst into Indonesia’s goal, after previously receiving a gastric pass from the right side.
Croatia burst into Indonesia’s goal again in the 66th minute. Bruno Zdunic managed to score Zrilic’s raw ball that Adi Satryo pushed for a goal, while also leaving Garuda Muda behind 0-5.
Indonesia only managed to score a goal in the 72nd minute. Bagas Kaffa managed to take advantage of Pratama Arhan’s cross in the penalty area with his shot ball running towards the Croatian goal. Garuda Muda reduced the position to 1-5.
One minute after being stormed by Indonesia, Croatia responded immediately with their sixth goal. Marín as team captain scored his second goal after being able to pass two Garuda Muda players and shoot the ball into goal. The score changed 6-1 for Croatia.
Indonesia had to play with 10 players after Mochammad Supriadi was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for his foul in the prohibited area. Croatia received a penalty.
Ivan Brnic, who advanced as a penalty taker for Croatia, did his job perfectly. The score changed to 7-1 for Croatia, which was the final result of the match, as well as a crushing defeat for the Indonesian U-19 team.
