Increase of 4,301, there are now 357,762 Covid-19 cases in Indonesia

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Transmission of the coronavirus continues to occur in Indonesia. According to data from the Covid-19 Management Working Group, on Saturday (10/17/2020), there were 4,301 additional cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The addition has brought the total number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia now to 357,762 people, as of the announcement of the first case on March 2, 2020.

Government data also shows the addition of 4,048 Covid-19 patients who recovered after being declared no longer infected with the corona virus.

They were declared cured based on an examination Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) showing a negative result for coronavirus.

Therefore, the total number of recovered Covid-19 patients is now 281,592.

Then there were 84 additional cases of patients who died from Covid-19. So the total number of death cases to date has reached 12,431 people.

Based on previous data, there are now 63,739 active cases of Covid-19. They are patients who are still in treatment or are in independent isolation.
