jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Pangdam Jaya, Major General Dudung Abdurachman, urged the retired officers not to be provoked by the commotion that occurred at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP) on Wednesday (9/30).

“Retired officers who are currently making history, how is it possible that this nation’s struggle is not tainted by certain parties that use it for their personal interests,” he said in a statement to reporters at Kodam Jaya headquarters, Cawang , East Jakarta, on Thursday (1/10).

Dudung said that the commotion that occurred during the flower planting event at TMP Kalibata was due to the possibility of transmission of COVID-19, which at the time involved 150 participants from among the retired officers who were members of the Retired Guard of State Sovereignty (PPKN).

According to Dudung, TNI and Polri were present at the time to maintain the health and safety of the community in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

Dudung said that the commotion that occurred around 4 p.m. WIB was influenced by the timing of the statement that drew crowds of people.

“I also hope that it is not contaminated with the problems that are currently developing, which in turn will make the good name of the retired officers not good,” he said.

Dudung emphasized that he, his staff, and all TNI members are ready to support the government and are ready to assist retired officers’ complaints.

“Later we will transmit it to the leadership so that it is clear that we do not draw conclusions from each other so that in the end we collide,” he said.
