KOMPAS.com – BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will send notifications by SMS or SMS blasting to a number of workers who are candidates for wage subsidy assistance (BSU) or wage subsidies.
SMS are sent to workers who are no longer working and have disbursed Old Age Insurance (JHT), but their status is still an active participant as of June 30, 2020.
Deputy Director of Public and Inter-Institutional Relations BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Irvansyah Utoh Banja explained that as of Thursday (9/17/2020), up to 398,126 SMS had been successfully sent.
However, of this number, only 146,549 people confirmed, which is about 36 percent.
“We have contacted everyone in our system. In fact, many have not responded,” Utoh told Kompas.com, Saturday (19/9/2020).
Continued, the people who receive the notification SMS should confirm via a link or link which is included.
SMS recipients only need to complete data updates, in the form of personal data and account numbers.
He confirmed that it was not identity fraud (fraudulent method by sending a link by email or similar).

The link provided to the recipient of the SMS leads to the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan official website.
The SMS contains a unique link that only the recipient can access to independently update data, including confirmation of account numbers.
He recalled, for workers who have not confirmed the SMS to confirm immediately.
The aim is that wage subsidies in the form of cash totaling Rs 2.4 million can be immediately distributed to them.
Not everyone can send SMS
Utoh explained that the recipient of the SMS notification is only sent to:
- Disabled workers after June 30, 2020
- Workers with valid NIK and active mobile phone numbers (unique data)
- Workers are not / have not participated in the pre-work program
This includes employees or workers who have disbursed JHT in July or August, but remain active participants of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan until June 30.
They are a group of workers whose account numbers are not communicated by the company to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. In fact, according to Utoh, they are also entitled to obtain BSU.
“Yes, they are still entitled to obtain BSU, because the participants are active as of June 30, 2020,” he said.
Previously reported, BSU was awarded to private employees and honorary employees with salaries less than 5 million IDR who were active participants of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan until June 30, 2020.
Meanwhile, workers who just signed up for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan after June 30, 2020 cannot get BSU, even though the salary is less than 5 million IDR.
The salary subsidy will be disbursed gradually, until December 2020. Currently, the salary subsidy has entered stage 3, while stage 4 is still in the data verification process.
