JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – There has been a socialization to the public about the plan to abolish the registration and identification of motor vehicles.
Through this socialization, the public received information about the deletion of the STNK data before the regulation went into effect.
The Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) will be blocked if the vehicle owner has not re-registered for two years or more.

According to the Head of STNK, Sub-Directorate of Registration of the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Martinus Aditya, the plan to abolish the registration and identification of vehicles is currently being socialized.
“Now due to the elimination of vehicle registration and identification, the stage of socialization to the public is being entered. So the public can know these rules, “Martinus said on Monday (10/26/2020), quoted from Kompas.com.
However, Martinus is not sure when the new rules will go into effect.
