A pair of goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped AC Milan beat Inter Milan. This also ended a four-year drought against the Nerazzurri.

Inter must acknowledge the greatness of AC Milan at the Derby della Madonnina, at the Giuseppe Meazza, on Saturday (10/17/2020). Ibrahimovic, who became a former Inter player, brought disaster to La Benemata after successfully contributing two goals.

Romelu Lukaku eased Inter’s embarrassment a bit after cutting the loss to 1-2. This result put an end to Milan’s drought of victories against Inter in the Italian League that had been underway for four years. The last time three points were earned was in February 2016.

Ibrahimovic had some problems before the match against Inter. The 39-year-old forward tested positive for the Corona virus and had to be quarantined for about two weeks.

Ibra is not his name if he gives up on the situation. He regularly performs hyssop tests to be able to defend the Rossoneri in the derby. The hard work of the player nicknamed Ibracadabra to recover paid off.

“Milan did not win the derby in four years, I was stuck at home for two weeks so I was hungry and it shows,” Ibrahimovic told Sky Sport Italia.

“I lost my sense of taste a bit, but I do swabs every three days and nothing will stop me from playing in the derby,” he continued.

“I am disappointed that the penalty was saved, but the most important thing is that the team won. I am the oldest of the squad, I feel a lot of responsibility and I like this feeling, because everyone is following in my footsteps and hungry to win,” he confirmed Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic has been very fertile this season. Of the past three matches in all competitions, he was able to score five goals. Evidence that finishing did not undermine Ibrahimovic’s magic.
