iBox responds to viral criticism from TikTokers about its services

The name iBox suddenly became a hot topic of conversation in Indonesia. The store, which sells official Apple products, has faced criticism from netizens regarding its services.

This was caused by the publication of the TikTok account @ julio.ioio. He complained about the unsatisfactory service from iBox Senayan City because he was wearing a T-shirt, shorts and flip flops.

Simply put, this video went viral. Not just on TikTok, but even on Twitter. There was so much criticism that the name iBox suddenly became a trending topic on Saturday (12/26/2020) afternoon.

detikINET also attempted to contact Erajaya regarding this issue. They said they always appreciate and welcome feedback from every customer.

“Constructive and factual feedback will help improve and improve staff services throughout the Erajaya Group retail network,” said an Erajaya spokesperson.

They claimed to have tracked down the viral case, starting with interviewing the personnel involved and reviewing CCTV footage at the store in question. Erajaya’s group also explained the chronology as follows:

Erajaya noticed a difference between the timeline provided by his staff and the CCTV footage at the scene with the viral video. Therefore, they invited TikToker @ julio.ioio to learn more about the perceptions of lack of service from iBox staff.

“We have invited the owner of the TikTok account @ julio.ioio through Direct Message (DM) and WhatsApp to stay in touch, but so far there has been no response,” concluded Erajaya.
