Turin –
Gianluigi Buffon received a gift of two bottles of beer from Lionel Messi because the net was broken. This is the reaction of the Juventus goalkeeper.
Messi has just set a record with Barcelona. The Argentine forward became the top scorer for a single club.
Messi now has a record of 644 goals in Barcelona. The owner of 6 Ballon d’Or beat the legendary record of Pelé, who previously scored 643 goals for Santos.
To celebrate, Messi wants to give beer to the goalkeepers he has broken. One of them is Buffon.
The aging Juventus goalkeeper has been beaten by Messi twice. The moment occurred in the 2017/2018 season of the Champions League.
In the Barcelona vs Juventus match of the Champions League group stage at Camp Nou, Messi bought two goals against Buffon. The two goals were the 514 and 515 that Messi scored throughout his career at Barcelona. The Blaugrana finally won 3-0 at that point.
The two goals now carry Messi’s beer for Buffon. The 42-year-old goalkeeper replied.

“I still remember these two goals because they made me suffer a lot because they let Barcelona beat us 3-0 and it was a bad night. But I can’t deny the greatness of Lionel and Barcelona as well, especially that night at the Camp Nou.”
“The only hope I have is that this is my last collection. Okay, Lionel? Remember, I hope you do. Two is more than enough!” He explained.
Buffon also uploaded videos to his social networks. He congratulated Messi again, while he had a beer sent by the 33-year-old forward.
“Thanks for the beer. I’ll take that as a compliment. We’ve had a great battle over the years! Congratulations on breaking the 644 @leomessi record … this is truly an extraordinary achievement. Let’s toast!” Buffon wrote.
This season, Buffon and Messi have also met once in the Champions League. As a result, Buffon was able to secure the net, when Juventus beat Barcelona 3-0 at the Camp Nou.
