Police have named the man with the initials H (25) as a suspect in a fatal accident in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. H has also been tested in urine to find out if he was affected by drugs when the accident occurred.
“Yesterday we had a urine check. We are still waiting for the results,” Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo told reporters in Pancoran, South Jakarta, on Saturday (12/26/2020).
The suspect, known to be an employee of a state bank, has been detained at the Subdirectorate of the Traffic Police of the Gakkum Metro Jaya Police. Suspect H is charged under article 311, paragraph 5, of the Road Traffic and Transport Act with a maximum threat of 12 years in prison.
Police concluded that H was the suspect in the accident based on 3 pieces of evidence. The evidence includes the statements of two key witnesses, CCTV footage, and evidence of damage to the Hyundai car driven by H.
Sambodo revealed that the accident that involved Aiptu IC was not alone. However, there was an incident that preceded, where the H car collided with the IC driven Innova.
“Determining Brother H, the Hyundai driver, as a suspect. From the results of this accident, the accident did not stand alone, but was caused by a friction, pushed by the Hyundai car driven by Brother H”, Sambodo said.
Touching the Hyundai car made the IC lose control. Until finally the car bounced to the right side of the road in the opposite direction and hit 3 motorists.
The accident resulted in the death of the young mother, Pinkan Lumintang (30). Meanwhile, one motorist suffered serious injuries and another suffered minor injuries.
So what made H hit the car driven by the IC? Before the accident, there was apparently another incident involving IC and H.
