Husband and wife owners of 16 married children ages 11 and 12, initially wanted a partner, instead they continued

KOMPAS.com – Mulyono (46) and Partina (45), a married couple from Malang, East Java, have 16 children.

The couple married in 1986. At the time, Mulyono was 12 years old and his wife 11 years old.

Two years later, specifically in 1988, his first child was born. A year later their second child was born.

On average, the couple’s children were born one to two years apart. Four years maximum.

“The difference is approximately one year, two years, maximum four years,” Mulyono said when meeting at his residence at Jalan Karakatau No. 19 in Malang City on Wednesday (2/24/2021).

Eight of her children are still in education. One person is studying at Malang State University, three people are in high school, three are in primary school, and one is still in kindergarten.

I want a couple of children

Initially this couple just wanted to have a couple of children. However, she went on to finally have 16 children.

“Initially, I wanted to have only two children, a man and a woman. But, the above (God) gave. Those who do not have children want to have children,” said Partina.

Fortunately, all the children were born normally.

Partina admitted that she had participated in the Family Planning (KB) program. In fact, he had already implanted implants.

However, the implant had to be removed because it endangered his health.

Partina does not regret having many children. In fact, when there are people who want to raise their children for adoption, Partina refuses.

“In the past there were people who wanted to be taken away, but I didn’t want to, sorry. I wanted to give them a house, money, but I didn’t want to. Let them get together, eat and not eat. The important thing is to meet. Alhamdulillah no one joined the people, ”he said.

Selling meatballs

To support his family, Mulyono sells meatballs. Meanwhile, Partina opened a store in the Jagalan area.

“Selling my meatballs, hanging around. If my wife sells in Jagalan, she rents stalls there,” Mulyono said.

Although they have to work hard to support dozens of children, the husband and wife admit that they are happy to have many children.

According to them, with children many houses are filled with people.
