Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia– Although new cases continue to increase, Indonesia continues to record an increase in the recovery rate of recovered patients and a downward trend in the rate of cases and deaths.

According to data from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) today, there are 4,094 additional people recovering from Covid-19 on Friday (10/23/2020) today. This means that the accumulation of recovered patients is 305,100 people, or 79.88% of all cases. The recovery rate is much higher than the world average of 74%.

Meanwhile, the death toll to date has reached 13,077 people, an increase of 118 people compared to the previous day. Although it is still above the world average, the ratio of cases to death continues to decline, reaching the level of 3.42%.

Regarding these data, the Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Management Working Group Dra. Reisa Broto Asmoro He said that the increase in recovered cases is an effort in treatment or treatment. The strategy that has been implemented is to maintain the availability of drugs produced by the pharmaceutical industry, the availability of medical personnel and referral hospitals.

“As of October 22, 2020, the supply of COVID-19 treatment drugs has been distributed to 34 provinces and 760 referral hospitals plus more than 250 thousand health workers, so we are increasingly optimistic that they can be cured more positive cases, “he said.

Although treatment efforts are carried out primarily by physicians and health facilities, Dr. Reisa said the community can still play a role. The method is quite easy, that is, support and pray for the medical staff for the spirit to heal the patients.

In addition, the community can also support with discipline in health protocols, that is, with #pakaimasker, #jagajarak to avoid crowds, and #cucitangan using soap and running water.

“Making sure we are disciplined in prevention with 3M, of course, to protect our death without increasing the number of patients treated by medical staff,” he said.
