Mourners packed the Jami ‘Al Anwar Mosque in Pasuruan City, where the deceased was buried.

Habib Hasan died on Sunday morning (12/27/2020) around 2.00 WIB while in treatment at the Surabaya National Hospital.
Habib, known for his simplicity, was brought to the funeral home in the city of Pasuruan.
At around 2:00 pm WIB, the body was taken to the Jami ‘Al-Anwar Mosque in Kota Pasuruan to be cremated and then buried.
“Leaving the funeral home at 14.00 WIB. Then he prayed at the Jami ‘Mosque before the Asr prayer,” he said.
“Then there was also a speech by the deputy regent on behalf of the district and city government and on behalf of the clergy. Then Habib Abdullah Al Muhdor from Yemen, who was in Pasuruan for a long time, spoke a little about him,” said.
The funeral procession, which was attended by hundreds of thousands of people, ended around 4:00 pm WIB.
Mourners who came to the Jami Mosque in Pasuruan City, which consists of two floors. In addition, there are also mourners on the road in front of the mosque and in the Pasuruan town square.
“Panjenengan could see that yesterday, the Jami mosque was full, huh. Starting from the first floor to the second floor, then to the Alun-Alun to the street. We were not expecting his enthusiasm,” he said.
Habib Abu Bakr assessed that the funeral of the deceased was visited by hundreds of thousands of mourners due to its simplicity during life. The deceased also never refused when invited by someone.
“His people are very humble. So that can get hundreds of thousands of people to attend his funeral because so many people have liked him during his lifetime,” he said.

“When invited by people, from rich to poor, they never want to differentiate themselves. Everyone is treated the same. They take care of his invitations and he always arrives on time when people are invited, ”he explained.
UN Lakpesdam Pasuruan City President Zulkarnain Mahmud said it was natural for many mourners to attend the funeral of the deceased because they felt they had lost a very simple figure.
“Muslims, especially those from Pasuruan, have lost an exemplary figure. It is no wonder that thousands of people attended his funeral. He is willing to become an imam at the Jami ‘mosque in Kota Pasuruan and does not refuse invitations from the little community, “he said.
