Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Professor Henri Subiakto’s name has become a hot topic on social media. It happened when one of the Communication Professors from Universitas Airlangga (Unair) Surabaya was invited to be a speaker at the Indonesian Lawyers Club (ILC) broadcast on Tuesday (10/28/2020).

Prof. Dr. Drs. Henri Subiakto, SH, M.Sc., is a professor at Airlangga University, Surabaya. Apart from being a professor or lecturer, Prof. Henri Subiakto has also served as an expert staff of the Minister of Communication and Informatics (Menkominfo) RI since 2007. He is also an expert in the field of Political Communication Sciences.

Quoting from the official blog owned by henrisubiakto.com, his level of education is quite surprising. In 1987, he became an alumnus of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Communication at Gadjah Mada University. In the same year he also joined the UII School of Law.

Then in 1996, he became a student at the Indonesian Graduate University of Communication. Over the next four years, he became a student at PAI London UK.

In 2003, it was awarded the US Department of State as a Journalism Curriculum. In 2006, he attended an International Fellow, in the Advanced Research for Communication Short Course at Edith Cowan University, Perth Australia.

Hendri was confirmed as a professor on April 30, 2016. At the inauguration, Henri read his scientific speech entitled “Transformation of digital communication technology to social change as a real problem”.

Quoted from the official website unair.ac.id, Prof. Henri Subiakto was awarded the British Chevening Award in 2000, and in 1998 he received an award as a Model Lecturer.

In 2007, he was the President Commissioner (President of Dewas) Perum LKBN. Six years later, in 2013 to be precise, Henri had become a curator of PT Metra Digital (Telkom Group).

Previously, politician Gerindra Fadli Zon was involved in a heated debate with the Minister of Communication and Information, Expert Personnel, Henri Subiakto, at the Indonesia Lawyers Club (ILC) broadcast last night, Tuesday (10/27/2020).

The transmission was uploaded through the Youtube account of the Indonesia Lawyers Club, on Wednesday (10/28/2020), with the topic ‘Waiting for the Covid-19 vaccine: between expectations and anxiety’.

Fadli was disappointed that the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate, could not distinguish between hoaxes and conversation spaces in the community.

“That is because the government did not communicate with the people. That is the problem. Because of that failure, the people are not safe. It is also part of the public distribution,” continued Fadli.

Then Henri said that the question of humanity entered a politicized arena that caused hoaxes to appear.

Hearing Henri’s response, Fadli Zon again denied and showed an attitude of disbelief at what was said by the expert Menkominfo staff.

“Oh, how come the talk is not really quality? Try to be clear about the politics before,” Fadli said.

Fadli questioned Henri’s statements that they were incompatible with each other and that they clashed. Because, for one thing, the government says it’s still doing it try and failure.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Communication and Information has carried out judgment that the vaccine statement is a hoax.

This debate then led to the question of the price of the vaccine, which reached the price of US $ 2. Meanwhile, for prices, Henri related it to the theory of supply and demand.

However, again, Fadli Zon “checked” Henri’s statement.

“I don’t think I deserve to sit here. In addition, it represents a prestigious government institution such as Kominfo. Read the correct one first, do some research first, don’t pretend. Where is your data? “cecar Fadli Zon.
