JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The case of the disappearance of the savings of 20 billion rupees claimed by the esports athlete Winda Lunardi aka Winda Earl entered a new phase. PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk (Maybank Indonesia) itself took the resolution of this case to court.
The bank, whose shares are owned by the Malaysian Maybank group, has appointed famous lawyer Hotman Paris to act as a lawyer to handle the case in court.
According to Hotman’s claim, there are many irregularities in the case of the disappearance of more than Rs 20 billion of the eSport athlete. Here are 4 irregularities related to Winda Earl’s savings at Maybank Indonesia, as described by Hotman Paris:
1. Winda does not have passbooks or ATM cards.
Hotman said Winda Earl does not have a passbook or ATM card that can be used as proof of ownership of deposits at Maybank Indonesia. The savings book and ATM card are in the hands of the director of the Cipulir branch in South Jakarta Maybank Indonesia with the initials A, who has now been named a suspect in the case.

This was revealed by the investigation report (BAP) that the police had made.
“Since Winda opened this book with her savings book and ATM card, she said according to the suspect’s confession that she had the suspect. The question is, you, as the owner of the money, why did you let someone else had his ATM card? ” investigators, “Hotman said at a news conference. Youtube Compass TV, Monday (09/11/2020).
Meanwhile, according to the evidence, Winda received a passbook and ATM card, as evidenced by the date of receipt of the passbook and the ATM account with Winda’s signature.
“He signed (that) the passbook and ATM have been received, but the branch manager has been holding them. And the customer has never complained or complained about it. You, as the owner of the money, Why let other people keep the passbook and the ATM? ” Hotman said.

Hotman said Winda Earl’s clients had no problem with the perpetrators’ savings and ATM cards. In fact, the savings product that Winda opened was conventional savings.
“So to this day he (Winda) has never taken his passbook and his ATM card has never been taken. But according to the branch manager, he is there,” Hotman said.
According to Hotman, handing over a passbook and ATM card to someone else amounts to allowing irresponsible parties to abuse their own savings. Apart from the banking security system that has been implemented.
2. Interest payments on the author’s account
The second irregularity is that the victim did not receive interest payments from Maybank Indonesia. Interest payments are made from the suspect’s account, namely A at Maybank and A’s account at BCA Bank.

“And (the transfer of interest) is not to the client’s account (Winda), but to Herman Lunardi’s account. There was a protest from the account owner why my savings interest was paid by the personal account of the manager of the branch. There was no protest, “Hotman said.
3. Checking accounts
In recognition of Winda Earl who was a victim, she opened a checking account. Although Hotman said, a checking account (account status) and savings are two different things.
“The next question is, did W admit yesterday that he got a checking account? Did he know that savings didn’t have a checking account? That means he should have known why I got a checking account while the one I opened was a savings book. Even the passbook is still in your possession. Person A, “Hotman explained.
4. The flow of funds to the victim’s father’s account.
Hotman also highlighted the flow of funds to the account of Herman Lunardi, who is the father of Winda Earl. The funds that entered Herman Lunardi’s account previously flowed to Prudential.

This can be seen in the mutation of Winda’s account, whose ATM card and savings book were in the possession of the perpetrator.
“So Rp 6 billion from the Maybank account of this account (the victim), went to Prudential for Rp. 6 billion. I should have opened the policy. But in a matter of days, this money came back. How much did it go to whose account (Herman Lunardi)? ” Hotman said.
