Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Power of law Maybank Indonesia Hotman Paris Hutapea ensuring that his client will replace the balance belonging to the missing e-Sport athlete Winda Lunardi, which amounts to IDR 22 billion. The balance replacement was carried out in good faith by Maybank Indonesia.

“He (Maybank Indonesia) wants to pay, Maybank is willing to pay, although there are serious odds,” Hotman said in an interview with KompasTV, quoted on Friday (11/13).

Hotman said Maybank Indonesia is willing to pay as long as there is a mutually beneficial agreement (win-win solution) for both parties.

Because, legally, Maybank Indonesia is not obliged to pay compensation to Winda.

However, Hotman did not elaborate on the form of the win-win solution in question. He said Winda could go to Johny’s cafeteria to discuss it further.

“So by coming to Kopi Johny, I will ask Maybank Indonesia to pay. It’s over. He (Maybank Indonesia) wants to pay as long as there is a win-win solution,” Hotman said.

However, the legal process is said to not stop after Maybank Indonesia has paid compensation to Winda. The legal process continues to find out the facts of Winda’s account theft case.

Meanwhile, Hotman said there were oddities in this case. This is because some of Winda’s lost money was used to buy policies at Prudential.

“Prudential has admitted that there is Rp. 6 billion for his father’s (Winda) policy,” Hotman said.

For this reason, Hotman still asked the authorities to investigate the case of the loss of funds in Winda’s account.

So far, Bareskrim has named the director of the Maybank Cipulir branch with the initials A as a suspect in the alleged theft of the 22 billion rupee savings balance.

Bareskrim Polri suspects that the director of the Maybank Cipulir branch with the initials A has compromised a way to attract profits through a time-saving plan.

He allegedly offered Winda to open a fictitious futures account and was promised a profit of up to 10 percent.
