“Several hospitals in Banten, West Java and Central Java saw an increase of more than 70 percent in ICUs. Meanwhile, the ICU occupancy rate in Jakarta reaches 69.5 percent. However, efforts must be made so as not to increase again, “Doni said.
Doni said that in recent days there has been a significant increase in COVID-19 cases.
Even in DKI Jakarta, the number of cases has risen to 1,500 per day.
“In recent days there have been additional cases in various areas. Even in the capital city, the number of cases is relatively higher than before. Two days ago it reached 1,579 and yesterday 1,300,” he explained.
The BNPB head stated that one of the reasons for the addition of COVID-19 cases was the long holiday at the end of October 2020.
