Harun Masiku is a suspect in the KPK and is still at large.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YAKARTA – Acting Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesman Ali Fikri confirmed the investigation process of the Time Exchange Bribery (PAW) case for suspect Harun Masiku continues. Although, until now, the politician PDIP is still at large.

“Right now, the case of suspect HAR (Harun Masiku) is still ongoing at the investigative level,” Ali said when confirmed Monday (4/5).

In fact, Ali continued, the prosecutor has already charged Saeful Bahri and is currently in process in court. It is known, in Saeful’s indictment, the KPK Prosecutor stated that Saeful’s actions were carried out together with Harun as Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Penal Code.

Although, Ali continued, in Article 40, the KPK Act regulates the KPK’s ability to stop investigations. However, this option is not currently an option in Harun Masiku case management.

“So even though suspect Harun has not been caught at the moment, the case continues, there is no way to stop the investigation,” Ali said.

Previously, the MAKI Boyamin Saiman coordinator believed that Harun Masiku had died. He reasoned that Harun’s existence could not be detected until now, unlike fugitive KPK, former Supreme Court clerk Nurhadi.

“The basic thing is for the Nurhadi case, almost every week the informant comes to see me with new information, lha Harun Masiku has no news, so I am sure he is dead, “Boyamin said when confirmed Monday (4/5).

According to Boyamin, the KPK is also believed to be unaware of the presence of Aaron, who was lost as swallowed by the earth because he had died. “Again, only limited to belief, there is no valid evidence,” Boyamin said.

For this reason, Boyamin plans to make a report of a missing person and die if Harun Masiku has not been found within two years.

“This is important in order for his wife’s status and her child-related rights to remarry for his wife and also the inheritance rights for his wife and son,” Boyamin said.

Similarly, with the KPK, Boyamin said, he must also announce to the public to stop the investigation (SP3) on the grounds that the suspect was dead.

“According to regulations, missing persons are considered dead 2 years ago. Therefore, the deadline is 2 years from their disappearance,” he said.

Previously, the belief that Harun Masiku was dead was also voiced by Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) Presidium Neta S Pane at its launch on Sunday (3/5).

“Another IPW source is genuinely concerned that Aaron is dead. But the source does not explain, what is the cause? In addition to the indication, IPW expects the KPK to continue to pursue Aaron and immediately arrest him,” Neta said.
