Habib Rizieq Syihab (HRS) will return to Indonesia in the near future. MUI (Waketum) Vice President Muhyiddin Junaidi said Habib Rizieq had the right to return to Indonesia as an Indonesian citizen (WNI).
“The HRS Grand Imam is an Indonesian citizen who has a legitimate right to return to his country,” Muhyiddin said when contacted on Monday (10/26/2020).
Muhyiddin sees many parties missing the presence of HRS. According to him, the presence of HRS will increase the spirit of Muslim activists to maintain and care for the Republic of Indonesia.
“He is a great intellectual and scholarly figure who is highly committed to building his country with noble values in accordance with the Pancasila state philosophy. His presence can increase the ammunition of Muslim activists to care for and maintain the unity and unity of the Republic of Indonesia. Many parties really miss their presence in society. Indonesia is plural, “he said.
According to Muhyiddin, the negative opinions that have followed HRS come from ringtones. He said Muslims still need a figure like HRS.
“The negative stereo about him was deliberately breathed out by ringing minus ethics. Muslims and Indonesian people still desperately need a leading figure whose words match his deeds,” he said.
Previously, the news of Habib Rizieq’s return circulated in a viral video on Twitter. In the 1 minute and 30 second video, Habib Rizieq, who is dressed entirely in white, talks about his return to Indonesia. Habib Rizieq said that he and his family would be returning home in the near future.
DPP FPI Chairman Slamet Maarif He did not say with certainty when Habib Rizieq would return to Indonesia.
“God willing, as soon as possible,” Slamet said when contacted on Monday (10/26).
Slamet Maarif also did not elaborate on the return plan. However, he said that the return date would be communicated by Habib Rizieq himself.
