Habib Rizieq already apologized, what is the legal case?

jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Polda Metro Jaya confirmed that the legal process related to the crowd case in Petamburan, Central Jakarta will continue, despite Habib Rizieq Shihab apologizing for the incident.

The judicial process against the activity that caused a crowd at the residence of the High Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) is still ongoing, because it has already advanced to the level of investigation.

“Investigations are still ongoing on the violation of the (health) protocol that occurred in Petamburan, on the existence of a child marriage contract of the brother of MRS,” the head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya told reporters, Kombes Pol, Yusri Yunus, on Wednesday (02/12).

The 1991 alumnus of the Police Academy (Akpol) emphasized that Habib Rizieq’s apology to the public did not affect the ongoing legal process.

“Please apologize to the Indonesian people, but the investigation is still continuing,” Kombes Yusri said.

Previously, Habib Rizieq apologized for the crowd that occurred at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, in Petamburan, central Jakarta; and Megamendung, Bogor, West Java.

Habib Rizieq said the crowd was out of his control.

“I apologize to all the people if in the crowd at the airport, in Petamburan, in Tebet, in Megamendung there was a buildup that was out of control due to the excitement,” Habib Rizieq said at a 212 online meeting via Youtube Front TV, Wednesday (2/12).

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya sent a second summons to Habib Rizieq and his son-in-law Muhammad Hanif Alatas, to provide testimony as investigative witnesses.
