Andrea Pirlo, passed the UEFA Pro license test, on Monday (9/14/2020).

BOLASPORT.COM – Andrea Pirlo is finally officially licensed to become Juventus head coach on Monday afternoon (9/14/2020) Italian time.

Juventus made a surprising decision when they appointed Andrea Pirlo as their first team coach to replace Maurizio Sarri, who was fired on August 9.

The reason is that Andrea Pirlo at that time did not have a UEFA Pro license, which is a requirement to become a first team coach at the level of Serie A and Serie B of the Italian League.

Pirlo has just completed the UEFA Pro License course at Coverciano in August 2019.

Initially, former midfielder The Old Lady was only appointed as Juventus U-23 coach on July 30.

Now the diploma that Pirlo needed to manage the Juventus first team has finally been obtained.

After going through a 240-hour course, including one that had to be done online during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pirlo finally obtained a UEFA Pro coaching license.

After taking exams in the presence of Renzo Ulivieri’s examiners: (soccer technique and tactics), Felice Accame (communication), Isabella Croce (psychology), Ferretto Ferretti (training methodology) and Maria Grazia Rubenni (doctor), Pirlo approved.
