Surabaya –
Since the video of two ospek or PKKMB FIP Unesa committees screamed at the new students for not wearing a belt, today Wednesday (9/16/2020) they finally met. The committee yelled at the new student’s home in Nganjuk.
Not only, the PKKMB FIP Unesa committee was accompanied by faculty leaders, student advisory professors and FIP BEM. Unesa’s head of Public Relations Vinda Maya Setianingrum, said that his visit was also to create a shadow and provide moral support.
“In addition to being part of the counseling, today’s meeting is expected to build friendship and provide direct moral support as a family,” Vinda said in a press release received by detik.com on Wednesday (9/16/2020).
When they meet, they are also welcomed by the family. The new family of students also hopes that the screaming incident will no longer occur.
In fact, the committee that yelled at the new student had already expressed their apologies. Unesa wants both the committee and the freshmen to strengthen each other.
“Previously, the committee had also apologized to his son and his family. I think this incident was a blow to everyone. We hope that with this family environment, everyone will strengthen each other to face the pressure they face,” he explained.
According to him, this friendship is an important part of counseling. This step was taken to ensure that students were mentally prepared to face conferences that had already begun.
“Our approach now is that in addition to solving this problem amicably, we also make sure that their mentality does not falter because currently the conferences are already underway,” he concluded.
