Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Next year’s subsidy for state civil servants (ASN), also known as civil servants (PNS), is expected to increase at least Rp.9 million for the lowest rank.
This was stated by the Minister of Empowerment of State Apparatuses and Bureaucratic Reform, Tjahjo Kumolo, in an event held through the YouTube of the Ministry of Religion, as quoted on Tuesday (12/29/2020).
“So the lowest ASN employee should be at least Rp 9 million to Rp 10 million,” Tjahjo said.
Tjhajo said the increase in allowances would be enjoyed by around 4.2 million ASN, 1 million government employees with labor agreements (PPPK) consisting of teachers, 260 health workers and 100,000 extension workers.
“Hopefully, through recruiting, a merit system, assignments, etc., we can track how many ASNs we need,” he explained.
Tjahjo hopes that public officials will be able to donate part of the increased appropriations forever. Currently, the government is still looking for ways that ASN can contribute more to waqf.
“Later we will look for him. From the basic salary and allowances and others, we will appeal to him in what way. So that the waqf can move forward,” Tjahjo said.
