jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Several TNI police and troops removed the attributes of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) in the area of ​​the mass organization led by Habib Rizieq Shihab, in Jalan Petamburan III, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/30) in the afternoon.

During the operation, the police also arrested seven youths and immediately took them to the Jakarta police headquarters.

It is not yet known why the police secured the youths.

In this regard, the head of the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Heru Novianto, said that the seven young people would only carry out an identity check.

“The young man we insured earlier asked his identity, if he was petamburan or not. We just asked, we only insured it just for us,” Heru said when confirmed Wednesday.

Heru made sure that his party did not stop or detain the seven young men.

“There is no term arrest, nothing. We only have data, if I’m not mistaken, they were taken to the Regional Police to ask questions, we will check it ”, said Heru.

Heru stressed that his party will always monitor the Petamburan area to make sure there are no further activities or activities carried out by FPI.
