jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Armed Forces (KASAD), General TNI Andika Perkasa, took swift and decisive action to respond to the attack on the Ciracas police headquarters in East Jakarta on Saturday ( 8/29) in the morning.
General Andika said that up to 12 Indonesian army soldiers who had been the subject of investigations into the assault and vandalism were detained at the Jaya Military Command (Pomdam Jaya) Military Police, Guntur, in South Jakarta.
“So these 12 people were detained at the Jaya Military Command Military Police in Guntur,” Andika said during a press conference at TNI AD headquarters, Jakarta, on Sunday (8/30).
He explained that the 12 people were Army soldiers. However, he was reluctant to mention unity.
The Military Police will also investigate other people in the case of vandalism at the Ciracas Police Headquarters.
“We are not suspects yet, but clearly we are arresting 12 people. These 12 people have targeted (the perpetrators of the destruction),” Andika said.
Andika said that 19 other soldiers who had been summoned would also be detained immediately.
However, later on, TNI personnel involved in the destruction of the Ciracas Police Department will not only be assigned to the Jaya Guntur Military Command Post.
“Anything we call today will be stopped immediately and we will place them as needed. So it’s not just in Pomdam Jaya. We have several locations, there is an Army Military Center here near Gambir, there are more in various locations. Again. Lo We will position as needed, “he said.
The same will be done with Prada MI.
Prada MI, which is currently under hospital care, will also be detained soon.
“Prada MI is clear, he is one of them. Prada MI is already in our hands even though he is still being treated at the Indonesian Army Hospital, but his condition is among those who have been examined,” said the ex Pangkostrad. (between / jpnn)
