“The name is someone who wants to visit, there is a schedule. If it is still under investigation, we will not allow it. Investigators are still working, we have to respect it,” said on Thursday (10/15) the chief of police, inspector general Public Relations Officer, Prabowo Argo Yuwono, in the Bareskrim Polri, Jakarta office. .
On Thursday, the United States Presidium, Gen. TNI (ret) Gatot Nurmantyo, did not meet with the Chief of the National Police, Gen. Pol Idham Azis, at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, regarding the efforts to free American activists who were arrested by the police.
On that occasion, Gatot Nurmantyo came with other WE officials, namely Din Syamsuddin, Rocky Gerung, Ahmad Yani and Professor Rochmat Wahab.
“We are also not allowed to meet with US activists who are in detention,” Gatot said.
Gatot said he does not know the reason for his arrival to visit the suspects and to meet with the head of the National Police, General Idham Azis, who was rejected by the police.
“I don’t know, yeah, basically I can’t get permission, yeah, it doesn’t matter,” he said.
Previously, the police arrested nine American activists, namely Juliana, Devi, Wahyu Rasari Putri, Khairi Amri, New Zealand, Kingkin Anida, Anton Permana, Syahganda Nainggolan and Jumhur Hidayat.
