LONDON – Tottenham Hotspur managed to reap full numbers when they hosted Brighton & Hove Albion in week seven Premier League 2020-2021, Monday (11/2/2020) early morning WIB. Harry Kane and Gareth Bale scored both goals at home, while the visitors stole a goal from the feet of Tariq Lamptey.
The course of the match
Acting as host made Tottenham Hotspur appear to attack from the start. Sergi Reguilon had a chance in the sixth minute. Unfortunately, the Spaniard’s shot was thwarted by Robert Sánchez.
Tottenham Hotspur’s attempt to find a goal paid off in the 11th minute. Adam Lallana fouled Harry Kane in the prohibited area. The English forward successfully completed the task at 13 minutes from the penalty spot.

The one goal advantage made the Spurs even more vicious. At 20 minutes, Son Heung-min tries his luck to double the score. Sadly, the 28-year-old’s shot went off the bar.
Brighton is not without its opportunities. In the 42nd minute, Dan Burn’s header came close to leveling the score if the ball didn’t drift to the side. Erik Lamela felt a similar miss at the end of the first half because his shot missed the target. The 1-0 scoreline lasted until the break.
The host’s dominance continued in the second half. However, Brighton managed to offer significant resistance. Tariq Lamptey completed the Pascal Gross bait to equalize the score at 1-1 in 56 minutes.
The Seagulls nearly took the lead in 67 minutes. Fortunately for the Spurs, Adam Webster’s header was still on the side. A minute later, it was Erik Lamela’s turn to hit the post. The host was finally able to return the lead in 73 minutes.
Sergi Reguilon’s mature bait was successfully completed with a precise header from Gareth Bale. It was his first goal since returning to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2020 on loan from Real Madrid. Gareth Bale’s goal was enough to secure three points for Spurs.
