It is claimed that the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, defeated the Defense Minister and the Chairman of the Gerindra Party. Prabowo Subianto in the eligibility survey of presidential candidates (candidates) for the presidential election or presidential election 2024 conducted by the Indonesian Policy Indicators Survey Institute.
Ganjar exceeded the eligibility obtained by Prabowo and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
The poll, which was conducted by Indonesian Political Indicators, was conducted with a closed simulation of 15 names of potential candidates for the 2024 presidential election. As a result, Ganjar’s eligibility was 18.7 percent, Prabowo was 16, 8 percent and Anies was 14.4 percent.
Indonesia’s Director of Political Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi said that Ganjar was always in the top three positions in the last three 2024 presidential candidate eligibility polls.

Apart from the three names, there are 13 other names whose eligibility for the 2024 presidential candidate is below 10 percent.
They are the Vice Chairman of the Gerindra Sandiaga Uno Party Advisory Board (8.8 percent), West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil (7.6 percent), Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (4.2 percent) , East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa (4 percent), former TNI Commander Gatot Nurmantyo (1.4 percent), and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD (1.3 percent) .
Below them are the coordinating minister of Economy, Airlangga Hartarto (1.2 percent), the president of the DPR Puan Maharani (0.9 percent), the minister BUMN Erick Thohir (0.8 percent), the minister from the Interior Tito Karnavian (0.4 percent), Vice President of the DPR Muhaimin Iskandar (0.2 percent) and Head of BIN Budi Gunawan (0.1 percent).
It should be noted that this survey of Indonesian political indicators was conducted using the method simple random sampling which is done by contacting the defendant by phone.
Indonesian Political Indicators contacted a total of 1,200 of the 5,614 respondents while conducting the survey, which was conducted from September 24-30, 2020.
Burhanuddin said this survey has fault tolerance o error range about 2.9 percent at the 95 percent confidence level.
