The United Islamic Front, which was declared by several prominent Islamic Defenders Front, will continue to use the FPI as an abbreviation. FPI said the symbols and logos would follow soon.

“The information is the Islamic United Front, in short FPI,” said FPI lawyer Aziz Yanuar through a short message on Friday (1/1/2021).

Additionally, Aziz revealed that the FPI logo and symbol would be announced. He said the announcement would be made as soon as possible.

“Later there will be symbols and logos to follow,” he said.

“You can dissolve the Islamic Defenders Front. But you can never dissolve truth and justice,” Aziz continued.

Meanwhile, the former FPI secretariat in Petamburan, Central Jakarta, will be used as the headquarters for members of the Islamic United Front. Currently the building is empty without activity.

“Empty again, later we will do the activities of the Insyaallah Islamic Association Front. Insyaallah (becomes the headquarters of the FPI),” Aziz said.

The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) previously requested that not all the symbols of the Front of Islamic Defenders (FPI) be displayed in the Dakwah affairs. The Islamic United Front’s lawyer, Aziz Yanuar, admitted that he had no problem with this.

“It doesn’t matter, what they like, it depends on them,” Aziz said when contacted on Thursday (12/31).
