JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The president of the Commission for the Eradication of Corruption (KPK), Firli Bahuri, revealed the chronology of the arrest operation (OTT) for the alleged case of bribery for the acquisition of goods and services in the social assistance program for the handling of Covid-19, from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) on Saturday (05/12/2020) early in the morning.
According to Firli, the operation began with public information received by the KPK team on Friday (4/12/2020).
“The information is about the alleged receipt of a sum of money by the State Administrators delivered by AIM and HS to MJS, AW and Juliari P Batubara (JPB),” Firli said in an online press conference on Sunday ( 06/12/2020) in the morning.
“In the meantime, specifically for JPB, the money is delivered through MJS and SN (JPB’s trusted people),” he continued.
AIM and HS are known to be private parties. While AW and MJS are commitment offices in the Ministry of Social Affairs. Meanwhile, SN is a secretary in Kemensos.
Based on the information obtained, Firli continued, the plan to deliver the money will take place on Saturday around 02.00 WIB at a location in Jakarta.

Firli said the money had previously been prepared by AIM and HS in one of the apartments in Jakarta and Bandung.
The money is stored in seven suitcases, three backpacks and a small envelope amounting to around 14.5 billion rupees.
“Furthermore, the KPK team immediately secured MJS, SN and other parties in various locations in Jakarta. From now on, the parts that were insured with an amount of around 14,500 million rupees were brought to the KPK for investigation deeper, “Firli said.
He revealed that from the results of this arrest, money was found in rupees and in foreign currency.
Each amounts to around 11.9 billion rupees, around 171,085 US dollars (equivalent to 2,420 million rupees) and around 23,000 Singapore dollars (equivalent to 243 million rupees).
The KPK has reportedly designated the Minister of Social Affairs, Juliari P Batubara (JPB), as a suspect in the alleged case of bribery for the acquisition of goods or services related to social assistance handled by Covid-19.
The suspect’s determination is a continuation of the arrest operation carried out by the KPK on Saturday morning.
“The KPK has named five suspects. As a recipient of JPB, MJS and AW. Then as a donor to AIM and HS,” KPK President Firli Bahuri said during a press conference on Sunday morning.
MJS and AW are known to be engagement offices in the Ministry of Social Affairs. While AIM and HS are private parties.

In the arrest operation, the KPK arrested six people, namely MJS, the director of PT TPAU with the initials WG, AIM, HS, a secretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs with the initials SN and a private party with the initials SJY.
In this case, it is suspected that Juliari violated article 12 letter a or article 12 letter b or article 11 of Law 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption, as amended by Law 20 of 2001 on Reforms to Law 31. 1999 regarding the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Penal Code.
Meanwhile, MJS and AW are suspected of violating article 12 letter a or article 12 letter b or article 11 and article 12 letter (i) of Law Number 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption modified by Law Number 20 of 2001 on Amendments. On Law 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with article 55 subsection 1 to 1 of the Penal Code

Regarding the two private parties, namely, AIM and HS, they are suspected of violating article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 on Eradication of Corruption Crimes as amended by Law. Number 20 of 2001 on Reforms to Law Number 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Corruption Crimes.
Currently, MJS has been detained at the KPK Detention Center at the Red and White House Branch. Meanwhile, AIM was detained at the KPK branch of the Pomdam detention center. Meanwhile, HS was detained at KPK Rutan Kavling C1.
Meanwhile, Juliari and AW are being hunted by the KPK. Firli also asked both of them to surrender immediately.
