JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Police arrested two suspected terrorists in Condet, east Jakarta.

They are suspected of being linked to the suicide bombing in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Sunday (3/28/2021) yesterday.

The arrest of the suspected terrorist on Monday afternoon (3/29/2021) took place in a house that is also a place for buying and selling used cars.

In addition to the anti-terrorist task force, Gegana’s troops were also present at the place of arrest and searched the suspect’s residence.

The police also installed a police line and exiled residents from the place of arrest.

Since Monday afternoon, several policemen have been on standby to guard the place.

In arresting suspected terrorists in the Condet area, Densus 88 found several pieces of evidence in the form of suspected explosives, sharp weapons, and the attributes of a prohibited mass organization, FPI.

During the search, several identities belonging to the suspect were also found.

One of them is the FPI membership card, which has been declared a banned mass organization in Indonesia.

When he was arrested, the suspected terrorist fought against the police.

However, in a short time the suspect was arrested and transferred to the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters.

According to neighbors, the suspects have been buying and selling used cars.
