FPI Laskar shooting case, 1 in 3 reported parties died

One in three members Polda Metro Jaya who are reported in the case illegal homicide against four FPI troops on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road he died due to an accident.

This was confirmed by the head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono.

It is known that the handling of this case was carried out after Komnas HAM gave recommendations resulting from the investigation. Bareskrim himself has raised the status of the case to the investigation stage after the stage of the case that took place two weeks ago, on March 10, 2021.

“From the results of today’s case title, the status has been raised to suspicions of investigations against 3 members of the National Police,” said Karopenmas of the National Police Headquarters, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono.

Komnas HAM concluded the shooting of the FPI paramilitary troops on December 7, 2020 as a violation of human rights.

Based on Komnas HAM’s investigation into the confrontation incident that took place at the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 50 toll road, four Laskar FPIs were found to be still alive before the police put them in the car. Meanwhile, two other paramilitaries died during the confrontation until a shooting broke out on December 7, 2020.

The rest of the FPI Laskar were reportedly shot dead by the police because they claimed to have fought against the officers. For this reason, three members of Polda Metro Jaya have the status of denounced parties.

Bareskrim Polri’s Director of General Crimes, Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi, said investigators are looking into the murder story in the case.

“(Basic investigation) Article 351 subsection (3) and Article 338 (Penal Code). About the murder and the persecution that results in death, ”he said some time ago.
