jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The FPI crowd intercepted TNI-Polri agents as they removed banners and billboards bearing Rizieq Shihab’s image in the Slipi area, West Jakarta, on Friday (11/20). The atmosphere in the place was tense.
A group of people dressed in gray striped clothing that emerged from Gang Petamburan III in central Jakarta, which was known to be the headquarters of the FPI, fought against Kodim 0503 JB soldiers who were removing a series of banners calling for a moral revolution with the image of Rizieq.
“Wow! Hey! What do you want to do! It belongs to the people!” Shouted a handful of people reacting to the removal of banners and billboards with the face of Rizieq Shihab.
In fact, the wrapping of the banners took place in the Slipi area, which is the jurisdiction of the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police.
However, these activities could be seen by the FPI supporters who were headquartered directly across from the prosecution’s location in the Petamburan area of central Jakarta.
Inevitably, there was tension between dozens of FPI supporters and JB 0503 Kodim soldiers who were wrapping banners and billboards with Rizieq posters.
Members of the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police also tried to reduce tension, making traffic jams unavoidable at the scene.
However, the soldiers of JB Kodim 0503 did not pay attention to the FPI supporters who prohibited them from removing the banner.
