jpnn.com, JAKARTA – DPR member of the Gerindra Party faction, Fadli Zon, said that the dissolution of the ban on activities, the use of symbols and attributes and the termination of the activities of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) is an assassination of democracy.
The former vice president of the DPR emphasized that the government’s position shows a practice of authoritarianism.
“I emphasize that the prohibition of organizations without trial is a practice of authoritarianism. This is a murder of democracy and has corrupted the constitution, ”said Fadli Zon, on Wednesday (12/30).
Fadli also reviewed extensively about the dissolution of FPI through a video on Fadli Zon’s official YouTube account that was distributed on Wednesday (12/30) evening.
In the video, Fadli explained that at the end of this year, the public suddenly heard a press conference from various institutions representing the government on the FPI ban.
This press conference is about the prohibition of activities, the use of symbols and attributes and the termination of FPI activities.
There are various institutions such as the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, the Indonesian Police, the Attorney General’s Office and the National Anti-Terrorism Agency.
The president of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency said that the FPI had existed since 1998.
