Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Deputy Secretary General of the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) Aziz Yanuar admitted that he did not care about the statement from the Ministry of the Interior (Ministry of Interior) who stated that the FPI Registered Certificate (SKT) status ends from June 2019.

“FPI doesn’t care. Whether an SKT is issued or not, for FPI there isn’t the slightest benefit,” Aziz said when contacted. CNNIndonesia.com, Saturday (11/21).

Aziz explained that even without SKT, FPI would still be the defender of religion and the servant of the people. According to him, social organizations are not obliged to register SKT.

Aziz stated that SKT is only to access assistance funds from the State Income and Expenditure Budget (APBN). Meanwhile, it has been claimed that FPI can fund all activities independently.

“Until now, FPI has been independent in funding, never soliciting APBN funding,” he explained.

He explained that FPI had registered with the government for the past 20 years. However, according to Aziz, FPI never made use of the SKT.

Not only that, according to Aziz, FPI has submitted all the administrative requirements requested by the government. The FPI has also obtained recommendations from the Ministry of Religion and formal documents of administrative requirements.

“It should be enough, SKT is just an administrative matter,” he added.

The Head of the Interior Ministry Information Center, Benny Irwan, previously stated that FPI’s status as a mass organization registered with the Interior Ministry had ended since June 2019.

Once, the FPI presented an extension to the Ministry of the Interior. However, at that time FPI did not meet the specified requirements.

As a result, the Registered Certificate (SKT), Benny said, could not be extended by the Home Office.
